WISeKey Announces Blockchain Centre of Excellency in India

Leading global cybersecurity company WISeKey announced the launch of AI and blockchain CoE (Centre of Excellence) in India to support its global projects.

The company aims to secure Blockchains using cryptographic security standards, integrated with AI at the application and chip level.

Infosys is Working on 50 Pilot Blockchain Projects

An Infosys executive has revealed that Infosys is looking at blockchain technology development beyond finance. The company is reportedly working on more than 50 pilot projects.

Currently the company has 500 blockchain specialists and 1000 consultants that form a part of the core group to take these technologies to existing and new customers.

A blockchain pilot is being done for a US-based coffee chain. Infosys’s foray into blockchain started way back in 2015.

India Inches Closer to Developing Cryptocurrency Rules

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the Ministry of Revenue, Department of Financial Services and the Department of Economic Affairs is finalizing a report that lays out possible ways at overseeing the technology.

The report which could be released as early as next month could detail on how to regulate and whether a separate agency is required for the job.

Indian Banks Select Microsoft as Cloud Blockchain Provider

BankChain, a consortium of 20 Indian banks including the likes of SBI and ICICI Bank has formally selected Microsoft Azure as their exclusive cloud partner.

The first project as part of this partnership will be called Primechain-KYC, a closed permissioned blockchain built by Mumbai based Primechain Technologies.

Audience Farm forays into AdTech space

Indian blockchain startup has announced its foray into the AdTech space with an Ethereum blockchain based solution.

The ICO is scheduled to go live later this month. The solution brings in transparency to the backend operations of in the online advertising industry allowing advertisers and data publishers to save resources by ensuring security and reliability of collected and purchased user data.
